Managing Editor, Showrunner Magazine As Managing Editor of Showrunner Magazine, Romy has spent over a decade interviewing influential figures in film, TV, music, sports, and tech. She also leads the Showrunner Academy , a global master classes series and mentoring programme with a curriculum blending creative, business, and technology education. Romy began her career at Sony Europe , where she launched an in-house studio focused on maximizing synergies between Sony's entertainment and technologydivisions. Projects included campaigns for the BRAVIA TV launch, David Bowie's Reality Tour, major film franchises like 'Spider-Man,' 'The Da Vinci Code,' and 'Bond' as well as Sony’s sports sponsorship initiatives. As technology's role in entertainment grew, Romy transitioned to venture capital, focusing on talent scouting and investment opportunities in mobile and streaming technologies. Recently, Romy has turned her attention to purpose-driven projects, particularly at the intersection of sports, tech, and sustainability. A passionate water sports enthusiast, she is currently producing a series on how technology is reshaping sailing as a competitive discipline and fan experience, featuring major events like The Ocean Race, The America’s Cup, and SailGP. In 2023, Romy co-founded SpeakEasy Studio with a young creative team from London, Lisbon, LA, and Mumbai to create a cultural youth hub for dialogue and discovery. Their first magazine, launching in late 2024, will feature athletes, artists, and activists and the causes they support.
