MIPCOM 2024 wasn’t just about big-picture trends—it also delivered a dazzling lineup of new and upcoming shows poised to captivate audiences worldwide. From historical dramas to magical baking competitions, here are the top 10 releases making waves in Cannes this year.

1. "Watson" (Paramount Global) This CBS Original explores Dr. John Watson’s life post-Sherlock Holmes, offering a fresh take on the classic detective tale. "It’s about stepping out of the shadows and finding his own path," said creator Emily Harper.

2. "Rise of the Raven" (Beta Film) A sweeping medieval drama that blends political intrigue and high-stakes battles. Critics lauded its "Game of Thrones"-like appeal with a historically accurate twist.

3. "Ena. La Reina Victoria Eugenia" (RTVE) This Spanish drama dives into the life of Queen Victoria Eugenia, unveiling her influence on Spanish history. Actress Maria Lopez’s portrayal received a standing ovation during the premiere screening.

4. "Suits: L.A." (NBC) A legal drama spin-off that expands the "Suits" universe to Los Angeles. "It’s fresh, it’s bold, and it’s unapologetically Californian," teased showrunner Derek Webb.

5. "Tony & Ziva" (CBS) Fans of "NCIS" have been clamoring for this spin-off, which reunites beloved characters Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David. With its mix of action and emotion, it’s already a fan-favorite.

6. "Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking" (Warner Bros. Discovery) Blending culinary arts with magical themes, this competition show has "family favorite" written all over it. "It’s Hogwarts meets The Great British Bake Off," quipped producer Alan Rigby.

7. "Friends Game Show" (Warner Bros.) This nostalgia-infused game show invites fans to test their knowledge of the iconic sitcom. "It’s like living an episode of 'Friends'," said host Rachel Greene (no relation!).

8. "Pictionary" (ITV and Mattel) The classic drawing game comes to life in this vibrant adaptation. "Expect laughs, surprises, and some questionable art skills," joked presenter Kelly Hayes.

9. "Media Stamped" (Sinking Ship Entertainment) This docuseries aims to educate kids on digital wellbeing, featuring collaborations with schools worldwide. "It’s not just TV; it’s a movement," said co-creator Lucy Pratt.

10. "Sonya from Toastville" (Kedoo) A YouTube-native series for kids, this quirky show embraces short-form storytelling and humor. "Sonya is the hero today’s kids didn’t know they needed," said director Jamie Ng.
